My Favorites

Below are what I consider to be the best products I’ve used, that are as chemical-free, natural, non-toxic, and functional as possible. I’ve recommended many products in my blog posts, but as I test new ones and find products I like better, this list will change.

Personal Care

Madame Lemy All Natural Deodorant Powder - Lemon

Aluminum-free, Talc-free, Paraben-free, Phthlatae-free, No artifical fragrance, Cruelty-free, Vegan. This product is so unique because it comes in the form of a cotton “puff.” I’ve been using this and love it.

Dr. Squatch Wood Barrel Bourbon Natural Deodorant

Aluminum-Free, uses charcoal for odor protection, Arrowroot for moisture absorption, and probiotics to restore balance. Pete has been using this and likes it. It’s the first men’s natural deodorant we’ve found that truly works.

Hybar Solid Shampoo Volumize and the Hybar Solid Conditioner Volumize 
The brand also has moisturize, curly, etc.    Yuka gave it an Excellent rating. The brand also has moisturize, curly, etc. These are also great for travel.

Dr. Squatch Bar Soap

Pete really likes this brand. He has tried both the deodorant (listed above), bar soap, and the shaving bar. Its branding etc. is heavily focused on men, with scents like “Pine Tar” and “Wood Barrel Bourbon.” They offer 10+ other scents. Their exfoliating bar soaps are labeled as “Heavy Grit.”

Compression Cubes for Packing Your Suitcase

Found a great brand, Gonex. The largest can accommodate 4 of Pete’s Gap jeans (Pete’s 6’5”)! You must purchase the kind with the second zipper, as it allows the cube to compress further (I sat on mine). I was also able to put 4 long dresses, 2 short dresses, and 2 jackets in one large cube. 2 shawls, 5 pants, and 7 tops, in another cube.

Mountain Valley Spring Water

This is my favorite plain drinking water in a glass.  It is really different utilizing glass bottles instead of plastic, but I really want to get away from the plastic. We’ve seen the difference it makes regarding Pete’s thyroid and testosterone levels.  I just ordered a couple of reusable glass water bottles to put our reverse osmosis water in.  We will see how they turn out. 

Saratoga Sparkling Spring Water

This is my favorite plain sparkling water. It comes in a blue glass.  Excellent on the Yuka app 100/100 — see my post about Yuka, too.  Pete is just not too happy with the weight of the cases.   

Spindrift 

This is our favorite flavored sparkling water. I like the Lime (4 calories, no sugar, no additives, REAL lime juice, 100/100 on the Yuka app). Pete likes the grapefruit( 17 calories and 3.02g sugar. Good 64/100 on the Yuka app).
